While watercolor is her favorite medium, she has painted in oil, acrylics, and mixed media. Before that she demonstrated her love of the arts through tolle painting, charcoal, and production of crafts for area school children.
She was influenced in her painting by two maternal aunts, Ann Campbell of Morgantown, WV and Mary Kocher of Palmerton, Pa.-- both of whom are highly acclaimed artists.
She has studied with Joe Fettinges in Bera, Kentucky, Frank Webb in Rockland, Maine, Pam Nixon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Lillianne and Bruce Bowersock in Huntington, WV.
Shea has a Master's Degree from Marshall University in Communication Disorders, and is currently a Speech / Language Pathologist at Buffalo Elementary in Wayne County, WV.
Shea is a member of Tri-State Arts Association and a member of The Renaissance Gallery. Her paintings are in private collections in the Southwest and on the East Coast.
